NBA Mock Draft Pick #18 — Troy Brown, Jr., Guard, Oregon
SB Nation’s San Antonio Spurs blog Pounding The Rock explains the pick:
The Spurs certainly value shooting, could do with a young big, and would love to add another primary shot creator given their deficiencies last season. In the end they went the unique combination of defense and versatility offered by Troy Brown. The former Duck has compared himself to Andre Iguodala, and there are shades of it in his physical profile, high basketball IQ (especially for a guy yet to turn 19), and his ability to make plays on both sides of the floor -- all attributes that are always welcome in San Antonio.
