The 2012 NBA Development League Finals were set on Sunday night when Justin Dentmon and the Austin Toros handily defeated the Canton Charge. The Toros will take on Elijah Millsap and the Los Angeles D-Fenders, who've been waiting for their opponents since sweeping the Bakersfield Jam.
We'll have a more detailed preview coming Tuesday morning, but the most interesting matchup should be on the sidelines -- Brad Jones vs. Eric Musselman. On the court, it'll be interesting to see if the D-Fenders are able to handle the Toros multitude of weapons while Austin tries to force someone other than Elijah Millsap to beat them.
The best-of-three series will begin on Tuesday night and might even be available on a television near you, according to a press release from the league: each game of the best-of-three series televised nationally on NBA TV and streamed live, online, for free on NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague.
There's no telling what type of tape-delay is going to be happening with NBA TV (remember the good ol' days of 2am VERSUS games?), but the series' schedule is included below.
Game 1 - Tuesday, April 24 - Los Angeles @ Austin, 8:30 p.m.
Game 2 - Thursday, April 26 - Austin @ Los Angeles, 10 p.m.
*Game 3 - Saturday, April 28 - Austin @ Los Angeles, 9:30 p.m.
