At this point last year, Charles Boozer was preparing for the NBA D-League Draft in hopes of getting selected by a minor league squad.

But to the surprise of many, the 2013 Chicago Bulls' NBA Summer League participant and brother of two-time NBA all-star Carlos Boozer went undrafted.

While this may have been an unfortunate occurrence, it in no way stemmed from a lack of trying on Boozer's part.

During his three-year collegiate career at Iowa State, the young gun attempted to cope while being utilized as a forward. At 6'3" and 195 pounds, such positioning may not have the most natural of fits.

Since then, Boozer has aimed to make the transition to serving as more of a point guard in hopes of going on to play professional basketball. Looking to embrace a floor general role, Boozer has worked out with longtime NBA coach and trainer John Lucas and matched up against NBA star Kyrie Irving during private workouts in previous summers.

Most recently, the guard played for the Texas Fuel of the ABA just this past season.

As he eyes the next step of his career, Boozer is evaluating all options, a source tells RidiculousUpside.com. Such options still happen to include hitting the D-League hardwood. The guard worked out for four teams this fall, including the Santa Cruz Warriors.
