NBA Mock Draft Pick #26 — Jacob Evans, Guard, Cincinnati
SB Nation’s Philadelphia 76ers blog Liberty Ballers explains the pick:
The Sixers’ used their 10th pick (via LAL) to replenish the cupboard with wing depth, and they’ll do the same here at 26. Jacob Evans provides the Sixers a prototypical 3&D wing prospect who could possibly make an immediate impact off the bench. Through three seasons at Cincinnati, Evans connected on 37.7% of his treys on 4.4 attempts per game (39.4% on 4.5 3PA in the last 2 years). His 6’6” frame help him to be a stout defender on the wing, though he’s not the fleetest of foot and could struggle against quicker guards. Evans isn’t a playmaker and that’s okay: if he can provide a consistent catch-and-shoot threat, Ben Simmons will find Evans opportunities to make a difference.
