He turned them down. Good move by him not to get locked up. It's an interesting development in a development league. Call up crazy players limit themselves.
That's what I got so far, from my original source, on the Marcus Williams Saga (Real GM reported today he won't be signing). Will update more as I get it.Reggie Williams apparently CAN play defense! He also shot 7-of-15 from the field to finish the game with 18 points, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
I've deemed this the best game of last night and not just because the Voice of the Vipers, Alex Del Barrio, is calling the action. It's a potential playoff match-up, but it's tough to judge Dakota without Renaldo Major AND Romel Beck. Let's hope, for their sake, that they're healthy next week. The box score for this game is here, and for the rest of last night's scores, check here.
Kinda fresh if you ask me.
Michael Lee of the Washington Post and I spoke with Alonzo Gee after his last game as a Washington Wizard (against the Utah Jazz on Saturday) and before he left for San Antonio. Read more about Gee, along with some pictures, at Truth About It.net.
"My teammates and coaching staff have really helped put confidence in me. I think the D-League is very important because it gives guys a chance to get experience and exposure. I was very excited when I got the call to come up. I just came in thinking I had nothing to lose."
-- Golden State Warrior and former Sioux Falls Skyforce swingman Reggie Williams (Warriors Game Day Links- GSoM)The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Cavs castaway power forward Darnell Jackson. The Bucks looked at Alexander Johnson and Shavlik Randolph a couple weeks ago, so it's no secret the Bucks were on the lookout for a big body to add depth to the frontcourt rotation. Jackson only became available this week when the Cavs cut him loose to re-sign Zydrunas Ilgauskas.
Scott Schroeder, writing for Hoops Addict, did an excellent story on the leader of the best offense in the D-League - Will Conroy. Go read it.
Just confirmed that the Jazz will be signing Othyus Jeffers, whose second ten-day contract expires Tuesday, for the rest of the season.
