Pop quiz: What do all of the following have in common?
Wednesday afternoon, I got probably the least expected post on my Facebook wall, seeing as I'm from North Dakota:
Boom Tho Mixtape complete. You earned a mention in one of the songs, "Internet Dominance."
Yes, you read that right: I was mentioned in a song. A rap song. Off of a 12-track mixtape. With the most respected NBA bloggers I read on a daily basis. And Scoop Jackson.
See, unlike the NBA-type rappers before him (Jason Kidd, Ron Artest, Shaq, Chris Webber, Tony Parker, Dee Brown, Troy Hudson and even Cedric Ceballos among them (VIDEOS LINKED!)), Rod's music isn't crap. Well, it might be (it ain't no Colt Ford), but you have to love a rap that gives a shoutout to those of us that, along with Rod, dominate the internet.
Also, if you're wondering why my head got so big, it's because I got Gchat message last night from my favorite blogger not mentioned in this song that said "you are my hero. you're in a rap." Phoenix Stan also enjoys it to the fullest according to his Tweets from last night.
As Rod would say - "It's a movement."
