Brad Jones Out As Flash Head Coach
This is probably the most surprising off-season news in the D-League yet.

That’s surprising. The Toros should snatch him up to replace Quin if the D-League is where he still wants to be. At least Peter Holt isn’t nuts.

That makes a lot of sense. A LOT of sense.

I could of been a mutual decision.
His wife coaches the south-eastern louisiana lady lions, so he is never with his family. They went one game at the very end of the season last year. Thats why he was hesitant about returning last season, maybe he was looking for a job closer to home…. but what do i know…
Yes i'm on Twitter!

It wasn't mutual.
He “was surprised, but not shocked.”
Couple quotes from Ross Siler’s story:
"They gave me an opportunity three years ago to be a head coach in professional basketball and the D-League and I’m thankful about that," Jones said. "I’m disappointed to not be returning, but that’s this business."
"We picked the right guy to help us start our franchise and it has been a pleasure working with coach Jones," Flash president Joe Brown said in a statement. "After careful consideration, we have decided that we now want to move in a different direction."

Owner/coach?
And why not? As his blog readers know, Brandt does it all anyway. Might as well save some money so we can get that big Lehi real estate program off the ground.
Websters has a full page picture of Brandt right next to the definitions of “lucky as hell in the internet boom” and “‘tool’ - alternative version.”
Brad Jones really grew as a coach and agreed that last year was his best job. Good luck Brad.
My call on the next Flash coach if Danny Reed won’t let the ego maniac owner do it:
3. DeeJay, but only if he promises to continue to sleep in his car on road trips…
2. Coach Mac…
1. Michael Jordan or a reasonable look alike…
