Ridiculous Upside's FanPost Contest!
Dear Readers of Ridiculous Upside,
As you probably all notice, the site is a bit slower moving during the weekend than it is during the week. Part of this is because I occasionally freelance on the weekends, part of this is because I write a lot and need the occasional breaks so that I don't get burnt out.
That said, here's what I'm proposing: You guys can have the domain for the weekend. We haven't had a lot of FanPosts lately, but from now on (and with your help), I'll promote a FanPost or two to the front page every weekend for the rest of the world to enjoy.
As the headline states, 2011 NBA mock drafts always seem to generate solid discussion and would be be the type of post that doesn't exactly have to be read immediately to be interesting to the site's visitors. If you do a mock draft, I'm going to encourage titling "2011 NBA Mock Draft: [Insert your thought here]"
Otherwise, something like Posting and Toasting's Know The Prospect series or just your thoughts on an interesting aspect that doesn't seem to be getting enough mainstream media recognition would be welcome.
FanShots are also encouraged, and likely to be front paged, if anyone finds something interest on the internet during the day.
I haven't tried this before, so I'm ready for this to flop, but I'm hoping it doesn't!

I like this idea Scott.
I’ve been doing what I can. As for FanShots, I really suggest to everyone to check out Mid-Major Madness if you’re interested in hearing about Jimmer, Leonard, etc. as JWhelan does a tremendous job churning out articles and links on a daily basis. Guys, if your own team sites write something draft-related, FanShot it! It’s a lot easier to write mocks when you hear a little from the other teams’ fans.
BTW Scott, you’ll have an e-mail in your inbox sometime tomorrow. I’ve been asked if I want to write a draft FanPost for BSotS, and I want to ask you a few questions. Don’t forget this one, OK? ;-)

Oh, BTW,
did I ever tell you how awesome the RU logo is? I’d definitely steal it for my profile pic if I wasn’t already rockin’ the A-Train.

Damn, my computer is down for now, but I’d love to do some writing when I get the chance.

Btw
Anybody hear about the Nuggets workout recently? I’m interested in seeing how Faried did.

I'll ask at Mid-Major Madness.
JWhelan reported the work-out, but the Momo Jones transfer grabbed his attention for yesterday’s stories and he was working on another piece for today.

I found out, thanks anyways
Sounds like he had a solid workout. As expected he was a beast on the boards, but appeared a little winded due to the altitude.

because I forgot.
Does he have any kind of offensive game at all? Or his he Reggie Evans?

He's certainly got more offensive game than Reggie Evans
But not much. He’s pretty athletic and that allows him to work well down low and follow up misses with put-backs, but in terms of iso and post-up situations, he’s got a lot of work to do.
