As players hope to hear their names called by D-League teams during this coming Saturday's annual draft, Dominique Higgins is hopeful the impression he made in front of a slew of executives this past summer was enough to garner positive attention.
He, like many others, is in the minor league player pool, RidiculousUpside.com has learned.
The guard out of Rochester, New York competed in June's national tryout. Whereas his assertiveness and respective ability to attack the basket could use some work, Higgins is also very unselfish on the court. He's s decent enough passer with professional court vision, but where he really seems to shine is on the defensive end. Higgins applies effective ball peessure, has good feet and even better instincts to stay in front of his man. He's pesky.
Prior to looking towards the NBA D-League, Higgins has competed in Ireland and the IBA since turning pro.
