NBA Training Camp Rosters Include Plenty From The D-League

I originally planned on there being somewhere in the neighborhood from 25 to 45 players from the NBA Development League in an NBA training camp when they opened this week. Turns out I was low, however, as there are 55 players in camp that were called up from the D-League for their shot at the NBA.

How many of them stick will be another story, of course, but it can't hurt that they'll be entering camp in shape and with a bit of a chip on their shoulder.

The full list of participants is included below.

Thoughts on Jeremy Hazell and Dwight Buycks for PHX? We currently have 12 players, 13 if Siler sticks. We only have 4 wings.

Also, what are your thoughts on Gani Lawal? PHX cut him, and it looks like he’s headed back to Poland. Do you think that’s the best place for him? Could he come back when their season is over (no clue when that is) and get on a D-League team?

Go Suns, Packers, Jays, and Huskers!

Interesting stuff !

Russell Walker, 11 assists per game ?!? I really hope he sticks with his hometown Pistons at 29 years old. Elijah Millsap might stick with the Lakers, his D-League steals numbers are off the charts.

As a Blazers fan I wish that we would have called up 7’5" Will Foster, simply to have a man of that size to practice against. Seth Tarver should be a solid perimeter defender for the guards to go against though.
