NBA Draft Workouts All Over The Place

M. Spencer Green - AP

Miami Heat president Pat Riley watches during the NBA Draft Combine basketball workout, Thursday, May 20, 2010, in Chicago. He looks like he's watched his share of draft prospects in the last month (and he has).

I've decided to post an updated version of this - at least as updated as I was able to piece together - for your Friday morning viewing.

By my count, 120 players have been worked out and only 60 will be drafted - at least 20% of the blame for that should go to Sacramento because their tryouts make it seem more like they're planning to buy an NBA Development League team than anything else (which I wouldn't be opposed to, by the way).

The workout to keep an eye on today is New York, but only because Latavious Williams is in town and New Jersey is the only other team with a group workout.  Greg Monroe is also working out, by himself, in Utah.

As a reference, I linked the date, or unknown date, with the article I found the information.  Some of the workouts aren't published anywhere else on the internet, however, so not everything is going to have a link - in those instances, you'll just have to take my word for it.

Alright Kings and Timberwolves, cool it would you?

The Sixers have worked out me, so you should probably add that.

The Wolves have some excuse in that they invited the other teams to those big workouts and they have 5 draft picks all over the place. The Kings only have 5th and 33rd.

Kahn needs to talk to everyone. All the time. Every day.

They held their mini-combine just to keep the other GMs in the seats, so DK could work the room.

I can't figure out what OKC is up to...

I like the fact that they looked at Trevor Booker, but where is everyone else at?

At least bring in Alabi, Sanders, Pittman, J. Jordan, Lawal and maybe Dwayne Collins.

What’s with the huge gap between workouts for most of the teams? Was it just that all the players and FO staff were at the combines? Probably, but I just want to make sure.

While complacency costs, perseverance pays

Seems to me

The early workouts were guys that weren’t going to be at the Combine (for the most part) and then they scheduled more workouts following the Combines.

I write about basketball players with Ridiculous Upside. I know you'll love it.
