Latavious Williams, NBA Development League Featured On ESPN's Outside The Lines
Latavious Williams, and the route he took to get to the NBA by going straight from high school to the NBA Development League, was featured on Sunday's edition of ESPN's Outside The Lines.
Williams was of course drafted in the second round by the Miami Heat and then traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the NBA team affiliated with the Tulsa 66ers - Williams' D-League team.
Not too many new things were noted for the regular readers of this site, but it's good to see the D-League getting positive press on ESPN - even in early August.
Oh, and by the way, Latavious Williams wasn't the only player ineligible to be called up last season - Bakersfield's Jeremy Wise also went through the NBA's draft process this spring before ending up playing for the Golden State Warriors in the Vegas Summer League.

I feel...
like more and more kids will do this. Makes a little more sense than trying to make a veteran laden Euro team. Or, having an already too immature to get into college 18-year old tackle Eastern culture in China or Korea.
