Marcus Williams Back With The Toros

Marcus Williams will rejoin the Toros tonight, after a brief stint in San Antonio, I just learned (so no related link - I'm breaking news). Joel Abelson, one of Idaho's assistant coaches, is not on the trip. I think this combination swings my vote back to Austin.

Just an FYI, our OSLB will be going down in the comments of this fanshot tonight. Join us! It's fun! With two games, we're going to keep them compact. I didn't feel like playing CBS and trying to switch back and forth to see which is better, so we're keeping them all together.

P.S. Anyone care to explain how the D-League's facebook page can say this list is "spot on"? If anyone has money and would like to help RU advertise since that's apparently the best way for the D-League to take notice, let me know. Dime had freaking Jasper Johnson ranked second last time. The D-League embraces new media? Unless it's RU, apparently.

I think the only reason Josh Davis isn't getting love..

He’s been in and out of the league a lot already and he’s been out of college since 2002. So he’s 29? He is what he is at the NBA level already. Does that mean he can’t get back into the league? If Brian Cardinal, Calvin Booth and the Collins twins are still in the league, surely he can find his way back. It’s just that he’s not someone that people feel will move from the D-League and be in the league for 4-7 years like say Chris Andersen, Devin Brown, Chuck Hayes, Ime Udoka.

If Davis was a stock, he’d be trending down while guys like Looby, Hendrix, Ahearn, Gilder are trending up.

…will be a Stamp next year. Davis, Allred, Bergersen, Ellis, Violette - all the wily vets with Idaho ties. Ownership will get them stocking jobs at Albertsons to “supplement” their income…and the rest of the league will be just going off about those “cheating Stampede” going after their 3rd straight championship.

We will also be coached by Joel Abelson, who will only coach in person for home games.

Word on the street is Austin's cheating tonight

You probably remember the controversy two years ago when Randy couldn’t play because he didn’t end the season on Stamps roster… Marcus Williams didn’t end on the Toros roster… What a difference two years makes!

Also, I can’t wait for Joel to be head coach. Josh will be an NBA player next year. I miss Violette this year, so do you. Won’t Bergersen be about 46 by then?? I doubt Lance will be in the D-League next year. He’s had issues this year.
