Game two of the three-game D-League playoff series will be live on Versus tonight (check your local listings!) as the Utah Flash travel to Des Moines, Iowa, to take on the top-seeded Iowa Energy.
In the first game of ththose e series, the Energy defeated the Flash 103-96 behind Curtis Stinson's 29 points and nine rebounds, Marqus Blakely's 15 points and 13 rebounds and the fact that the Flash shot just 38.8 percent from the field. Utah was led Andre Ingram's 22 points as the veteran guard hit 5-of-10 of his three-point attempts from beyond the arc.
For the most part, I still feel pretty confident in my match-up analysis I put together in the series preview, but the fact that starting center Brandon Costner didn't travel with the Flash due to a sprained MCL means that Utah will have to rely quite a bit more on Nkem Ojougboh (I haven't heard any updates regarding Ronald Dupree, who missed game one with an ankle injury).
Ojougboh, a 6-foot-9 rookie power forward out of Northeastern, averaged 4.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks while playing just over 16 minutes per game during the regular season. Once Costner went down in the first game of the series, however, Ojougboh scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while blocking four shots in 28 minutes off the bench.
Anyone else plan on tuning into this game that wouldn't otherwise considering it's live on television?
