Rashad McCants, Rapper, Makes It Clear That Ballin' Is His Hobby
Rashad McCants is my favorite current NBA D-League player that also has side businesses including acting as a cross-dressing shoplifter in a made-for-internet series, being a former poet, running a limo service and being really, really confident in his skills.
While one might think that having all of those other projects would spread the 6-foot-4 Texas Legends' guard a bit thin and leave him at times a bit unfocused on most D-League players' goal of reaching the NBA, it's all good --ballin' is just his hobby.
I know this after watching Suni Blac's newest music video (King Suni Blac is his new acting pseudonym).
I think it's summed up the best in McCants' final line of the song:
Ballin' is my hobby, I could beat the Dream Team.
Totally unrelated, McCants is currently averaging 5.0 points, 3.0 fouls and has made four of his 11 shot attempts since returning to the Legends after leaving the team earlier this season.

Ballsin?
It definitely sounded like they threw an “s” into the focal point of the chorus.

I think
it’s a reference to his diverse acting career, during which his character has probably ballsed tones of dudes.

Maybe
It’s a not-so-subtle reference to his deference for societal norms, after being unfairly kept out of the “norm” NBA. But probably not.

Ballsin seems to be Rashad-y type word
From Urban Dictionary:
A very versatile word, mostly used as an adverb for anything in any situation.

My favorite part is that it's only 1:57, including the intro/outro.
So there was what, maybe 45 seconds of rapping?
Stay sweet, Rashad. Stay sweet.

If you really wanted more Rashad McCants’ rapping, here’s a link to his internet album.
The first lyric you’ll hear is “I might turn into a psycho, Halloween Michael.”

He's not wrong
Odds are he could probably beat the Dream Team. The youngest member is 41 and the rest are 45+. Those old bastards would have hard time keeping up.
You keep doing you Rashad - you’re a shining beacon of crazy.

But one on five?
I mean, Rashad’s better 95% of the players in the NBA — including most All-Stars — but that’s quite the stretch to say he could beat five Dream Team members by himself (Unless Christian Laettner is involved, obviously).

Is there any way we could try and get this together?
Would the Michael Jordan impersonator from the Utah Flash be available for a reenactment?
I think it’d be tricky for Rashad but his best chance would be a half court game against Bird (back/fat), Magic (fat), Ewing (knees), Barkley (still fatish and almost certainly out of shape), and probably Chuck Daly (dead).

I mean
I think it’d be hard to get Chuck Daly (body exhumation is tricky). Other than, I’m sure Rashad could hook it up with his all of cash.

Part of me
thinks Bird still would be a challenge, back and all. I’d go with Barkley, Ewing, Laettner, Drexler and Magic.

I just got a SB Nation and Ridiculous Upside account.
And I’m glad my first comments could be about a Rashad McCants music video including the word “ballsin”.

Why don't you do it Scott?
Better yet, just copy this entire post and strike through the Schroeder part. I’m sure no one will be able to tell the difference.

I think he’d prefer “entertainment mogul along the lines of MC Hammer and Puff Daddy” but I’m going to go with “a hobbyist basketball player that also dabbles in other forms of money making.”
