NBA Mock Draft Pick #19 -- Cheick Diallo, Power Forward, Kansas
SBNation's Phoenix Suns blog, Bright Side Of The Sun, explains this pick:
We really think Diallo is a guy who is going to excel in the NBA, with his 7'4" wingspan and high activity level. So even though the Suns already have Tyson Chandler and Alex Len at center, we think Diallo is worth taking and could eventually be a high-reward player.
Ridiculous Upside analysis: After an incredibly strong NBA Draft Combine where he absolutely shined, Cheick's stock has continued to rise. That makes sense due to Diallo's NBA-ready frame (6'9 with a 7'4 wingspan) and genuine quickness allows him to be a nice roll option. However, his developing mid-range and post-up games could allow him to eventually be a more well-rounded offensive player. Those improvements could allow Diallo to be a solid front-court presence for years to come.
