2011 NBA Draft Workouts Begin Today With Washington Wizards Tryout
The 2011 NBA Draft lottery won't happen until May 17, but that doesn't mean NBA teams won't beging their NBA Draft workouts sooner as the Washington Wizards are proving with their decision to workout six players on Saturday at 9 a.m.
The six players all seem to be second round prospects, or at least not in the running for the Wizards' current fourth overall selection, but either way will be worked out on Saturday morning according to the Wizards' Twitter account.
The six players involved in the workout include two local Georgetown standouts in 6-foot-1 standout point guard Chris Wright and 6-toot-9 junior Julian Vaughn, 6-foot-6 wing Gilbert Brown from Pittsburgh, 6-foot-3 guard Demetri McCamey from Illlinois, 6-foot-8 big man Jerai Grant out of Clemson and 6-foot-6 guard Darrion Pellum out of Hampton.
According to Draft Express, only Brown and McCamey are likely to be drafted this year, but it's never too early to get a look at possible NBA draft picks. If nothing else, these players are probable possibilities to end up in the NBA Development League next season if they go undrafted.

Speaking of the d-league. Did you hear about the Rainmen, Mill Rats, and the Quebec Kebs left the PBL last week after concerns over playoff officiating. The three teams formed a united front and are now deciding what league they’ll play in next season.
